Christ came to fulfill the requirements of the law for us so that we are no longer under the law for our righteousness but Grace. The Law, then being Good, is to be faithfully followed by loving God with all our hearts, minds and souls and loving our neighbors as ourselves.
We show that we love God by obeying His commandments and our neighbor by giving mercy to all. We who are being saved are justified by Christ’s precious blood and sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
In a way, we have come full circle: It was Abraham who was justified by faith and righteous in God’s eyes because he believed in God and he was willing to sacrifice his son Isaac because he believed God could raise him from the dead. And so it is for us who are of “The Way”.
We have faith in all that God has done and because God raised His Son Jesus from the dead, we are living sacrifices that have hope in the promise that we too will be raised with a glorious spiritual body like He has. AMEN
