Your coworker mocks your prayer at lunch. You laugh it off and change the subject. Inside, something shrinks. Hebrews chapter ten grabs your shoulder and says, “Don’t throw away what cost Jesus everything.” The Verse That Fuels the Fight
“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith… Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering… And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together.” (Hebrews 10:22-24 ESV)
Three commands. One community. Zero compromise.
Verse twenty-two: Come close. The curtain is torn. No appointment needed.
Verse twenty-three: Grip hope like a rope over a cliff. God promised. He delivers.
Verse twenty-four: Stop scrolling alone. Text someone. Meet for coffee. Fan their flame.
Verse twenty-six is sobering: “If we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.”
This is not a stumble of weakness. This is the onset of rebellion. Truth heard. Grace rejected. Danger zone. Run back, not away.
Verse thirty-six: “You have need of endurance.”
Endurance looks like Monday morning obedience when Sunday’s worship high fades. It is quiet. Unfiltered. Holy. The world celebrates sprint finishes. Heaven crowns marathon hearts.
Stir up one person.
Send a text: “How can I pray for you today?”
Or invite someone: “Coffee after work?”
Do it within 48 hours. Love is a verb.
Who needs your encouragement this week? Tag them or name the action in the comments. Let’s stir each other up.
